Ocean Hero Award 2019 by OCEANA

I am so honored to receive the Ocean Hero Award from OCEANA during the amazing Sea Change Summer Party on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The gala was held at a magical estate in Laguna Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean! OCEANA has done so many wonderful things to help our earth, and it is the largest international advocacy organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation. The Sea Change Summer Party is held once a year to raise funds and to celebrate the ocean, and this year's theme was the Plague of Single-Use Plastic. I was truly humbled to be up on stage to receive the award in front of so many environmental leaders and activists who have done so much for our ocean environment. Thank you OCEANA for inviting my family and me to be a part of this celebration to protect our oceans!

It was also special treat for me and my sister to meet some of our favorite actors such as Ted Danson (OCEANA Board of Director) from "The Good Place," as well as Angela Kinsey and Oscar Nunez from "The Office"! We also enjoyed a private concert under the stars by Jackson Browne!
