Sharing our Message at Chapman University

Thank you Musco Center for inviting us to have a table at the Small Island Big Song concert on Saturday, February 3 at Chapman University, California! We enjoyed meeting new people and sharing our message to Skip the Plastic Straw. Thank you Hay Straws and Pasta Life for sponsoring straws to hand out at our event We also showcased other fun alternative straws including Simply Straws, Klean Kanteen, Bamboo Straws, Aardvark and Handy Straws. (Details and discount codes can found on our website under "Alternatives")

To end the evening, we were able to enjoy the amazing and inspiring concert by Small Island Big Song! Small Island Big Song is a multi-platform project uniting the seafaring cultures of the Pacific and Indian Oceans through songs, sending a collaborative and urgent message from a region at the frontline of the Climate Crisis. The project makes cultural connections across vast oceans, working with artists dedicated to preserving the cultural voice of their people by singing in their native tongues and using traditional instrumentations. The artistic collaborations span Madagascar, Aotearoa, Taiwan, Mauritius, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and Rapa Nui, creating "one coherent jaw dropping piece.” Great work to co-founders Bao Bao Chen and Tim Cole!
