$965 donated to Pacific Marine Mammal Center!

Our 5th Recycling for Nature Project was launched on April 17, 2023 and lasted three months to July 16, 2023. We raised a total of $360 and all recycling proceeds was donated to The Pacific Marine Mammal Center (PMMC) in Laguna Beach, California. That’s a total of $965 donated to PMMC since our 1st Recycling for Nature Project.

We encouraged friends and neighbors to help us collect used empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans to promote recycling and prevent waste from entering landfills. Working as a Junior Marine Educator for PMMC's Summer Camp, I encouraged the campers to collect recyclables in order to help raise money for PMMC. They were all so motivated because of their love for the marine mammals that they learned about and helped contribute six full bags of recyclables to my project! With the help of my school and dance friends, neighbors, and PMMC summer campers, we collected 440 lb of aluminum cans and 164 lb plastic bottles in these past three months.
